Wow, I haven't posted in forever! I have no idea what's going on with any of my flist. So guys, what's up?
I've been super busy. My school's fall play is next week and we've been having crazy rehearsals. The show fucking sucks. The director writes the fall play himself, and he can't write for shit. Not to mention I went from a lead last year to a kinda shitty part this year, which I'm still disappointed about. Whatever, I love the cast and I'm looking forward to going out after the shows, especially the cast party with games of Truth or Dare and Never Have I Ever... XD I'm also excited about the spring musical, which is Beauty and the Beast. I know I'm not getting Belle, but I'm hoping for at least some sort of part. I'm getting antsy doing ensemble. I have a better chance, though, since I'm a junior and the director's changing almost all male parts to female parts since we have only one guy who we know can sing decently. We'll see how that goes XD
Mariel broke up with her stupid boyfriend. He seemed nice at first, but she very quickly realized he was so painfully ignorant and pretty fucking racist(even though he didn't think he was). He fucking worships Bill O'Reily...yeah, kind of Mariel's complete opposite. Not only that, they barely saw each other since he goes to a different school and both of them are so busy. I'm glad she finally got the balls.
Yeah, I'm getting ready for a week full of stress and exhaustion. I'm starting to feel a bit sick again, and everyone I know is getting sick, so I'm kind of nervous. Vitamin C, away!

Today was pretty rough. It was the last day of the quarter so almost all of my teachers decided to squeeze in a final test. I had an enormous headache all day and my body kept hurting weirdly. I'm feeling better, but I decided to stay home tonight and not push it.
Tom came over for a bit this afternoon and we watched the first 2 episodes of Chuck. He's in love with it and has been trying to get me to watch it, which I wanted to but we never remembered to actually do it. I really liked it. He left the first season with me for Mariel and I to watch. It'll be a lot easier than last year when we got into Lost and caught ourselves up by watching the first 4 seasons off of Project Free Tv, which often led us to videos with Turkish subtitles. We also seemed to get to these videos for episodes about Jin and Sun, so there'd be a lot of Korean being spoken with English subtitles obscured by the Turkish ones XD
I volunteered at this community service thing called YES at a neighboring district's middle school to get my last credit for National Honor Society. The volunteers just got to play games with these middle school kids. I hung out in the cafeteria playing board games instead of the gym because, well, I'm not exactly athletic. I met this kid who was heavily involed in the drama club, loves Glee, and was so outgoing and adorable. If he was my age, we'd probably be best friends XD
I'm reading Angels and Demons for my school's book club(that no one goes to XD ). I'm already about 50 pages in after starting yesterday. I'm liking it so far. I'm a little annoyed at the whole "Oh no, religion and science can NEVER mix EVER" attitude of Langdon and Kohler. Seriously, I'm a Methodist and love biology. I believe in evolution. Many of myfriends are Christians who, *gasp*, don't believe in a fully literal interpretation of the Bible! Whatever, I'm still enjoying the book. I just complain too much.

I'm sick once again. I don't understand why I'm so susceptible to all this shit. I take a multivitamin, eat pretty healthily, no one else in my family gets sick this often, and I don't have any condition that would result in a compromised immune system. I don't even know what it is! My throat is sore, my body aches, especially my head, but I'm not congested. This only started a few days ago, so maybe it'll take time to develop into another massive cold(hopefully not flu, swine or not).
I've been so busy and stressed! This past Saturday I spent four hours doing homework and still wasn't fully finished. The amount of physics homework I had was ridiculous(that was about 3 1/2 hours of the total 4). Rehearsals for the fall play are picking up, which is a good thing since it opens the first week of December and barely anything's blocked. The director's writing is sooo bad. It's kind of embarrassing, but I love acting and my fellow cast members too much to stop!
My older sister's transferring to a school she can commute to from home. Her anxiety has been really really bad lately and she's now on medication. I hate that she feels so terrible. She's coming home on Saturday. To look on the bright side, at least I get to see her more...
On a lighter note, Glee's back tonight! This looks like a good episode. I'm glad the show's paying more attention to Artie. Next they need to give Tina some development!

Boston was really good! I wish we didn't rush and try to squeeze everytghing in, though, because it was a bit too much. I'm exhausted! I had a really great time. I was one of the few people actually interested in the history things(loved the Freedom Trail while most of my group was wandering around being kinda rude while the guide spoke). We saw Blue Man Group, which I saw in seventh grade, but enjoyed it nonetheless. We went to the Salem Witch Museum, which was the cheesiest thing ever, but still fun. Lexington and Concord was cool(with the awesome reanacter guy firing a musket and talking about cool history stuff!) Today before we left we went to Quincy Market, which is really nice. I bought a hat, which is momentous because until now I thought I looked terrible in hates, and a cute dress from Urban Outfitters for $15. I never buy things from there because it's too expensive, but shit that's a good deal. Now I sound like my mother XD We did a lot of other stuff, too, but it'll be too much to type and no one probably cares. Yeah, I had a really nice time =]
While there, I bought the Glee soundtrack, which I'm enjoying right now, some souveniers for my family, and, in the awesome Newburg Comics in Quincy Market, I got the Inglourious Basterds screenplay for Katie for her birthday and this book A Hard Day's Write about the inspirations and meanings of a bunch of Beatles' songs. I'm pumped

Hey flist! I'm going to Boston tomorrow until wednesday with school. The A.P. and College level english and social studies classes get to go to Boston or Washington, D.C. every year. I'm so pumped! I'm a total history nerd, so Boston is gonna be so much fun! We're also going to Salem and doing stuff about the witch trials and such. So excited!
On Friday two of my friends came over and we watched a bootleg copy of Inglourious Basterds one of my friend's dad got from his "friend" that gets him bootlegs of everything. It had Russian subtitles at some parts, with the English subtitles over THOSE when English wasn't being spoken, and it was blurry at times, but not horrible quality. We're total nuts and made stupid jokes the whole time, but it was ok since only one of us hadn't see it before. I'm planning on having an IB party when it comes out on DVD XDD
Halloween was amazing! I spent the day at Patti's watching movies while the rest of my lame friends were trick-or-treating. Really guys, you're sixteen fuckikng years old, time to move on. No one wants to open their doors to a bunch of teenagers who can'tface growing up. Just saying. When they were down we all went to Tom's house and hung out. We played "truth or dare" off of iPhone/iTouch apps, which was fun XD I kind of have a crush on one of Tom's friens, but he seems disinterested in anything like that(except for maybe something with Tom), so I'm unsure if I should pursue it. Whatever, I'll see when I get back from OMGBoston! Have a great week, guys!

So I'm the worst LJ friend ever! I haven't been on LJ for more than 10 minutes in weeks, and I don't know what's going on with any of my flist! How've you guys been?
Yeah, I've been super-busy with school. SO much homework! I have a U.S. history test tomorrow which is one essay on anything from colonization up to the Revolution, and I don't know if the Revolutuion is included or not(I think it is, though). I studied a bit, but I don't remember much. I'm screwed!
This weekend I visited SUNY Cortland and Ithaca College for tours. I liked both, but I liked Ithaca more. Their academics are much more impressive and their "Exploratory Program" loooks really good- it's their version of an "undecided", but with much more guidance and helpfulness than other schools'. Their tour was really bad, though; they only talked about academics, and the groups were waaaay too big. I really like the school, though. I started panicing a bit because I'm terrified to grow up. I want to go to college and get the fuck out of high school, but I'm so scared of the process and the decision. Also, Ithaca's $46,000 a year, and if Mariel picks it, too, with Chesea still in school....shit, that's a LOT of money!
The English nerd in me needs to know if anyone has read The Great Gatsby? I just finished it today for school, and I loved it! [/nerding]

So, I've been super-busy with school. I have a shitload of work, and physics sucks a lot. There was a test of multiple choice A.P. questions, and I'm expecting a pretty terrible grade. Everything else in this class so far has been surprisingly not-bad for me, but these questions are <i>really</i> hard. In my A.P. U.S. history class my (crazy, hilarious) teacher gives a quiz every day on the textbook reading from the night before, and I got two 0's in a row last week. He drops the lowest 5, but I still got really nervous. I read the textbook, but I just couldn't remember anything...I don't know, I was exhausted all week and I have no idea why.
I'm in jazz choir(my school's acapella group) again this year! I We're doing really awesome music: "Don't Stop Believin'"(the Glee version!), Billy Jean, We Will Rock You, etc. My chorus teacher, who also runs this, arranges it and it sounds amazing! He also arranged an acapella version of One Republic's "Apologize" for mixed choir (I'm in women's, but we sing with mixed and also sing our own stuff), and it sounds epic! He recorded himself doing all the parts and played it in class...oh my God, it's perfect (and he's not a terrible soprano, either, LMAO). It's not difficult to sing, but with all the parts together it sounds so good!
I'm waking up early tomorrow to do a diabetes walk...it might be for awareness or research, I can't remember. I'm doing it for National Honor Society service credits, but my dad has diabetes, so it's something I actually care about. I just wish I didn't have to wake up so early! At least I'm walking with Erika and Tommy, so it'll be fun =]
Glee was so much better this week, which I was very happy about. I'm so fucking sick of Terri, though. UGH. The Office was beyond perfect, too. Hooray for Jim and Pam!
Sorry for rambling and squeeing, guys! How's eveyone been?

So the director took out all of the "potentially offensive" stuff from the play, including the constant "you're ugly" shit. He had a problem with last year's fall play since there were a LOT of fat jokes, which really pissed off a lot of people, and some people got all up in arms over some stuff in The Wedding Singer, which, come on, what did you really expect? And it's not like your precious innocent child is gonna know what prostitute means, and if they do, is it that big a deal? Anyway, he's really trying to keep everything as inoffensive as possible this year, so he beefed up my part and made it less sucky, so I'm happy now! Mariel's switching to a different part beause even the director thinks making us sisters again is a cop-out and stupuid, so YAY!
My family went up to New Paltz to visit Chelsea for "Parents' and Family Weekend", which was a lot of fun. We went Saturday morning and came back Sunday afternoon. It's a beautiful campus, and it was nice seeing Chelsea(even though I saw her last weekend and she's coming home for Halloween, lol). I barely slept though, since my dad snores like insanely. It took a nap when we got home, sleeping last night, and a nap when I got home from school to get me feeling somewhat okay. I'm still sleepy, though =[
I have lyrical now...bleh. I suck, but whatevs, I need some exercise and can at least try. Hopefully I'll get better!

So, I've been pretty busy lately with homework and such, so I haven't been able to post, or even really go on LJ. Now that I have a free moment, I'm going to bitch. I'm sorry flist!
So, I'm extremely angry at the part I got in my school's fall play. ( cut for angry, entitled bitching to spare the flist )
To change gears, I'll talk about some T.V. =] Glee was....disappointing. I loved the cute little Kurt moments, but...I don't know, it just felt very blah to me. I'm so sick of Rachel; I don't think she's so much better than the other Glee kids. I think Mercedes has a better voice, tbh, and I'm done with Rachel and Finn getting so many solos. I think the Glee club can survive without Rachel. As a choir nerd, and being in jazz choir last year(auditions are tomorrow, btw-ah!), I feel terrible for the other Glee kids. So many of those songs can have more than 2 soloists: just have two kids sing the first verse, another 2 the second verse, etc, etc, etc. I don't know, I just want to hear some other voices.
I just watched The Office and loved the adorable Jim and Michael moment at the end. This season is still so good; it's exciting!
I'm off to watch Project Runway and try to reign in my inner-bitchy-diva. How've you guys all been?

So, it's raining today so the aquarium didn't happen, which kinda sucks. But, since I'm now free today, I'm about to go to a Lion King Chinese food pajama party at my friend Frank's house...yeah, Frank can be a nut sometimes, lol. I'm pretty excited, ahaha. We're a crazy bunch. Later, I'm going to my friend Francesca's house for pizza, so I'm just a huge fatass today. Not to mention last night one of my friends brought over "pizza crumb", which is kind of like crumb cake but like on a pie crust-type-thing; it's hard to explain but fucking delicious XD
Mariel's new boyfriend is coming (he's one of Tom's Catholic school friends), which is gonna be fun. They went on a date last night and are probably the cutest thing ever! Well, both my sisters have adorable boyfriends....I think it's my turn XD Her boyfriend's mom thinks he should hook me up with another Catholic school boy, which would be cool, but the one I'd be most interested in is kind of indifferent to things, especially the whole dating thing. Oh well, I'll survive.

So I just saw that Eli Roth showed his parents and Christoph Waltz IB pornfic. Uhmm...whut? I find this hilarious, but it's kinda weirding me out, too XD I'm trying NOT to ship them, RPS is not my cup of tea, but damn it's like they're trying!
Anyway, I've been sick with a massive cold all week. I had to miss school on Tuesday and Wednesday, but I'm pretty much caught up, thankfully. I came back to a physics test, which sucked, but it was pretty easy. I have a lab due on Tuesday, which I started working on today but got frustrated at and gave up on. I'll deal with that later (procrastination, yeah!).
My sister's home for the weekend! I'm happy =] We're going to the zoo or aquarium as a family on Sunday (because we're so cool), which is pretty exciting.
So, flist, I haven't been on in a while; how are you guys?

My throat is killing me and I don't know why. It started yesterday as an annoying tickle in my throat, and now it's on fire. This is kind of what happened last time I got sick with "just a head cold" (head cold my ass, I could barely move), so I'm afraid I'm coming down with something similar. Ah! I don't know if I'll go to dance, which my mom will be pissed at since she has to pay for it and I'll probably end up missing a few when rehearsals start(still don't know what play we're doing-awesome! -_-" )
I kicked my Physics quiz's ASS! And I understand what we're doing now, too! I feel so smart =]
I'm so happy that Michael Emerson won the Emmy! He really deserved it; he and Terry O'Quinn are the best actors on Lost, IMO. Hooray!

So, yeah, I obviously loved The Office last night. I was cracking up from the very beginning. Andy being confused is just like YES! Ah, I'm excited about that storyline. I'm feeling optimistic about this season. Last season was ok, but if this premiere is anything to go by it'll kick last season's ASS.
I saw 9 tonight. It was dark and pretty freakin' sad, but I liked it. The visuals were awesome and the characters were just so adorable! I have to admit, though, there was some pretty disturbing shit in there, just for a warning. Elijah Wood has the cutest voice ever, even though that's nothing new lol
My monologue kicked major ass! The director said he was excited to hear my audition before I even started, told me how awesome it was after, and told me the next day in his script-writing class I'm taking that he loved it. He also said he'll be getting me away from parts like the Aunts (my sister and I played Aunt Abby and Aunt Martha in the sequel of the director's version of Arsenic and Old Lace last year), so he basically said I'm getting a good part. Ah, I'm so excited! Callbacks are next week, hooray!

So today was my birthday, and it was extremely eh. I guess it didn't seem all that special since I celebrated it 3 times already(trip to Vegas in May, party with friends in August, and aunt and uncle came over on Saturday).
Today was my first day of lyrical EVER, and yeah, I suck. I can't do turns at all (even though I've been doing jazz since I was in the 5th grade!), and my sister, this girl Paige we know from school and are friendly with and I were "those girls" in the class: the ones that everyone else looks at and thinks "well, at least I'm better than them!" The teacher is new to the studio and is a total space cadet, too. She probably hates me since I took up so much class time failing at basic turns, and the three of us were talking and giggling while everyone else was freakishly quiet. I felt like such an idiot, though. Hopefully I can get better. Maybe it was the combination of not dancing all summer and being nervous about a new class, I don't know.
On my way out the door to go to dance I saw slugs mating. They were just hanging off the side of my house all curled up in each other. I saw a slug penis. It was fucking weird o_0
I finally chose/memorized a monologue! I'm doing Sam's from Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers that happens right after Frode tries to kill him. I'm excited. It's a change for me and for the director to see from me; I've done 2 angry ones ("The Man" from School of Rock as a freshman and Bartlyby's "gonna go kill everyone now, kthnxbai" from Dogma last year) and a horrifically sad one about a violinist with MS in drama class(almost made the teacher cry; I was proud of myself!), so this tender, hopeful monolgue is something different.
Patrick Swayze died. WTF? It's really upsetting =[
I'm listening to Disney music to cheer myself up, which tends to work.

1. Bold the names of guys you'd definitely shag.
2. Italicize the names of guys you might shag after a little persuasion.
3. Leave the guys who don't do anything for you alone.
4. Put a question mark after the guys you've never heard of. ?
5. Strike the guys you wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole.
6. ADD FOUR OF YOUR OWN AT THE END.
( edited to put this massive thing under a cut... )Ok..the second half is all italicized and I don;'t know why/how to fix it...sorry, guys!

I'm exhausted. The shoes I wore today gave me intense blisters(eww, sorry, that's gross), which hurt all day and still hurt now, even after my shoes are off. I did my physics homeowrk, but was unable to finish 2 out of 4 questions, so I'm frustrated. I understood everything in class and got all of those problems right, but I think my AWESOME teacher(God, I really do not like him) likes to give homework questions about stuff he didn't go over at all(did it yesterday, too).
So, yesteday was a full T.V. night for me: America's Next Top Model, Glee, and Top Chef! I could only watch the first hour of ANTM(the boring part) since Glee was at 9, and it was...boring. Glee was really good, although the Rachel/Finn romance seemed a bit forced/sudden. Will reminds me so much of my chorus teacher(he dances around, is passionate about music/his students, etc.). It's awesome =] Top Chef was pretty good, too. Mike the Douchebag needs to leave. I wish he didn't cook so well! Mattin is my favorite, though. Adorable Frenchmen ftw!
I need to find a monolgue soon, ahaha. Procrastination! I'll look around at some, including
pinkcocktail's suggestion of Mad Men (THANK YOU!). So, how's the flist today?

So school was absolutely neutral. I'd forgotten how long 6 hours is when you're not lazing around all day. The auditions for the fall play are next week; they're never this early, but I'm excited. I just want to act again! I need to find a monologue and memorize it by the 16th. I always have trouble picking a monologue(any suggestions?). The director doesn't care what type, as long as it's 1-2 minutes long. Last year I did Bartleby's from Dogma, which is pretty dark and has plenty of expletives, so yeah, he's pretty chill. I'm taking his script-writing class(which I was kind of just thrown in), which I'm both excited and nervous for. I haven't been able to get inspiration for a poem or short story all summer, and writing a SCRIPT seems a LOT harder. It'll be something new to try, though, so that's good. In this class my friend Katie and I had an entire conversation over how hot Eli Roth is in Inglourious Basterds, after gushing to our teacher about how amazing the movie was and how he needs to go see it. Stuff like that gets me through the day!

I haven't updated in a week, but nothing particularly interesting's been happening. I'm trying to enjoy my last bits of summer; I got back to school on Tuesday! I'm excited now, but I know I'll be over it by the third day or so. AP Physics and Pre-Calc BC Honors will be my downfall. I'm excited to start AP English. I've had such bullshit English classes the past 2 years ("Honors" doesn't mean shit when applied to an English class in my school). I have all my work done, even the AP American History reading (FROM THE WORST TEXTBOOK EVAR), so I'm feeling pretty calm.
My sister has mono. She's feeling pretty fine, though. She called up my mom and wanted her to ask the doctor when it's safe to drink again. Oh my sister, ever the role model. I swear, her and her friends are so lame they can't do anything without getting drunk first. At least I can learn what <i>not</i> to do from her. I love her anyway, though. I'm starting to miss her, too. I'll see her in October, though, so I'll manage.
I went to the beach with most of my friends and some of Tom's Catholic school friends. It was a lot of fun, even though planning it was exhausting, and Tom absolutely sucks at any sort of directions or logical thought XD
I'm so obsessed with Inglourious Basterds right now it's not even funny. I'm off to read some fic!
How's everyone been?

My sister's rapid mono test came back negative! The "hardcore" (her words, not mine) results still need to get in, but it's very possible she doesn't have mono!
Yesterday I went to one of Tom's Catholic school friends' house and we played Axis and Allies, which is kind of like Risk, but about WWIII and way more complicated. It's a lot of fun (and we're all total nerds). At night I went to Tom's house and he, Mariel and I watched A Very Potter Musical all the way through. It was fucking hilarious! I had started it earlier this summer but was never motivated enough to finish it (I got up to Act 1, Part 3 XD). I wish Voldemort and Quirrel were like that in the books. They, and Draco, were my favorite parts of it! I was a little upset that Luna wasn't in it at all, though =[
I'm seeing Inglourious Basterds again! It was that good (and one of friends who couldn't go the first time really wants to see it). I really didn't do it justice with my shitty, barely-coherant reaction, though. Ah, so good! If anyone sees it, let me know; it's so amazing and I want to talk more about it!
